7 Habits in Action

Stephen R. Corey’s popular, top-seller, self-help guide, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, teaches individuals to achieve effectiveness in all aspects of life by following a road to success. The 7 Habits have been introduced into the work place by CEO of ISM/OmniMD Divyang Dave. “We want to develop dynamic employees, who are making not only ISM/OmniMD but society/community and the world at large a better place to live in,” explained Divan Dave. While visiting ISM’s India office Mr. Da’ve taught the The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People to all the company’s employees in four sessions. By introducing the book to workers, they can be able to reach their fullest potential in the work environment by overcoming obstacles they may be facing. “This book is an achievement and it is so fundamental because it touches root that if introduced 1,000 years back, it might have become a religion with the 7 habits as its core creed,” said Divan.

ISM Introduces Yoga into the Workplace

By introducing yoga to the corporate environment, employers will be able to reap the benefits the ancient, Indian practice brings to its employees and the overall company. ISM/OmniMD’s CEO Divan Dave believes, “Healthy employees are productive and positive at the office, home and society/community. Yoga adds on an average of 10 years to life to those who practice regularly. To counter stress and remain physically fit our ancestors introduced yoga thousands of years ago, which is a great achievement. Yoga is the only practice that tones muscle, gives aerobic exercise, makes muscles flexible and nimble and helps calm ones nervous system by meditation. I want all my employees to be fit physically, mentally, and spiritually. I am giving them the gift of 10 years to their lives”. Ms. Hetal Jadav, a certified yoga instructor, will conduct Yoga practices four-times a week on an ongoing basis. Sonal Shah, head of ISM company’s India operations says, “Yoga will be run continually at the ISM India Facility for four times/week at no cost to our employees.” No cost to workers and good health to employees will allow them to focus more and work efficiently. Overall, practicing yoga in the work place will not only benefit employees but also their employer. This computer company has taken a leader like step in establishing a benevolent practice for all.

ISM adopts green policy

Businesses all over the world have been implementing “going green” policies into their corporate environments and ISM/OmniMD is most certainly one of them. By embracing environmentally friendly policies, businesses big and small can not only help Mother Nature and the community but also help save millions for themselves. CEO Divan Dave of ISM/OmniMD introduced a complete Green Policy for all of the global (US and India) offices of ISM/OmniMD. It is a great achievement to incorporate a green policy into an office. Quoting the Upanishad’s Divan mentioned that “we are not owners and plunderers of the world. We’re merely custodians. We must take what’s necessary from this nature, making sure it’s replenished. Otherwise in a few generations, we’ll have nothing left for our scions.” The ISM/OmniMD team has been fully recycling trash, using reusable utensils and plates, using both sides of paper while printing, replacing its current AC with a new five star one and much more. This computer company believes it can achieve excellence in the work place and help our earth simultaneously. All these changes contribute to its efforts to join the global going green cause.
